PCMA to unveil new Learning Lounge 2.0 at PCMA Convening Leaders 2014
New format creates many ways for event professionals to engage
PCMA continues to push the envelope of event experiences on behalf of its membership. For this year’s Convening Leaders 2014 conference taking place next week at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA., PCMA challenged Freeman and FreemanXP to create an environment that encourages new ways of collaborating and learning within PCMA members. The result is a centerpiece of the show, the Learning Lounge 2.0 Powered by Freeman. Through short format, smaller sessions, the Learning Lounge encourages attendees to ‘lean forward’ and interact with subject matter experts and network. The Learning Lounge 2.0 will showcase kinetic, visual, and auditory experiences, while providing a dynamic forum to engage, network, and collaborate with peers and thought leaders surrounding the innovations and challenges transforming our industry.
A diverse line up of brands and thought leaders from inside and outside of the meetings industry are scheduled, including small group sessions with keynote presenters Lisa Bodell, Mike Walsh, and Hilary Mason. PCMA members are encouraged to share insights, get hands-on with shared visuals, examples and creative illustrations, learn from peers - or perhaps teach them a few things about hot industry topics such as going green, experience design, viral stunts, event curveballs, intern programs, design trends, and more.
In addition, the main stage session “The Who, What, Why and How Behind 2014 Convening Leaders,” on Monday, January 13 at 1:15 p.m. will offer an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at the many new initiatives happening at PCMA’s Convening Leaders. Presenters include Kelly Peacy, SVP, Education and Meetings, PCMA and Carrie Freeman Parsons, Vice Chair, Freeman.
