Business Development Director — Sponsorship Sales

We are looking for a rockstar to join our team!

Your role will focus on strategic sales and sales strategy which includes supporting unique projects that require a strategic perspective and business alignment.  You will have assignments with projects that require research, competitive analysis examples of business practices and trends.  As a combined Sales and Strategy role for FXP REV, you’ll help to gather, define and clarify the insights driven by client needs to createappropriate strategic solutions for specific Sponsorship Sales and Fulfillment projects as needed. You’ll work with some of the world’s leading brands to understand their objectives, audiences and challenges, and then deliver smart, strategic, results-driven sales recommendations to exceed their needs. As sponsorship sales you will be the primary sales role for sponsor outreach for both proprietary, consumer and b2b conferences. In most cases these programs attract over a 100 exhibitors/sponsors and revenue goals are between $1M-4M per program.  You will manage multiple projects per year in varying capacities. 

Sales Strategy: 

  • Leads strategic engagements as needed on project specific work with varying customers including associations and corporate clients. 
  • Collaborates with SVP and Sales, Strategy and Creative as well as any other departments as needed to develop strategic decks, POVs, analysis and prospectuses, along with any other sales strategies that may come at the request or needs of a client.
  • Maintains a passion for developing a rich and intimate understanding of our clients’ business and needs.
  • Develops an informed and provocative point of view that can be utilized on client projects, as well as throughout the organization and in outward marketing efforts.
  • Strives to constantly stay at the forefront of the technology field.
  • Provides research and analysis of project along with recommendations based on business analysis.
  • Participates in new business development efforts regularly and manages strategic sales with a book of revenue of 3M.
  • Executes duties and assignments as directed in compliance with corporate guidelines and objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Sponsorship Strategy:

  • Manages relationships with Global Accounts.
  • Records all contact activity and reporting in Salesforce.
  • Responsible for the creation of sales materials—prospectus, presentations (PPT and PDF), etc.
  • Responsible for sales communication plans, timelines and writing all sales comms.
  • Assists with formulating sponsorship sales strategy and pricing models with team lead and client.
  • Sells packages to sponsors.
  • Actively makes sales calls both via email communications and direct phone conversations.
